Dear Friends and Supporters,
It is a tremendous honor to serve as the State Senator from District 13 and I am amazed how quickly time passes! When I began in 2003 to run for the open seat in 2004, I thought a 12 year term was a long time. It now seems like a blink of an eye! To modify a familiar saying, “Time flies when you are getting things done!” And that is exactly what I set out to do each and every day—get things done on your behalf!
I have worked on important legislation to help our citizens in the areas of education, healthcare, and public safety and I have helped to address the many challenges that my constituents face daily. I have visited with students and citizens as they come to the Capitol and I have attended pie suppers, livestock sales, county fairs, town hall meetings and festivals in the many communities that comprise District 13. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t give thanks for this opportunity to serve you and to work for our district and state to make them a better place in which to live and work!
It is for all those reasons and more that I am running again for my last term in the Senate! I am energized and ready to go for another term. I will continue to work as hard as I do now to make sure that your voice at the Capitol is represented well and that you get the help you need when dealing with the myriad of challenges that life brings your way!
I hope that you will be a part of our campaign in the coming year! Parades, door knocking, speaking events, and many other activities will be a part of our routine. They are tons of fun and I’d love to have you join us! Please sign up to get email updates and check out our website to find out where and when we will be in the district.
As always, I am here to serve you! Please call or email my Capitol office if you need help. And for the campaign, please keep this website on your list of favorites so that you can be a part of our efforts.
